Une actualit\u00e9 br\u00fblante. <\/strong>
Le Discours<\/em> de La Bo\u00e9tie est plus que jamais actuel. Les dictatures, que l\u2019on croyait na\u00efvement d\u2019un autre temps, fleurissent ou se renforcent. Jean-Paul Farr\u00e9 incarne ce texte qui nous rappelle que les tyrans ne tirent leur force que de notre faiblesse et que la libert\u00e9 n\u2019est pas un vain mot mais reste une perp\u00e9tuelle conqu\u00eate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Montaigne, qui le fait conna\u00eetre \u00e0 la mort de son ami, que ce texte, \u00e9crit par La Bo\u00e9tie \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 18 ans, nous parvient. Avec le Discours de la servitude volontaire<\/em>, La Bo\u00e9tie devient en quelque sorte le p\u00e8re de la d\u00e9sob\u00e9issance civile ; il analyse l\u2019ali\u00e9nation du peuple en d\u00e9veloppant l\u2019id\u00e9e qu\u2019il s\u2019asservit par ignorance, par l\u00e2chet\u00e9, par passivit\u00e9, par habitude. Il conclut que si l\u2019on d\u00e9sire se d\u00e9barrasser d\u2019un tyran, il suffit de ne rien faire et cesser de le servir car le tyran vit des peuples et non l\u2019inverse.
\u00ab\u00a0Ce texte fi\u00e9vreux, sorte de J\u2019accuse ! <\/em>\u00e0 l\u2019adresse des tyrans et des peuples, n\u2019est d\u2019aucun pays ni d\u2019aucune \u00e9poque. C\u2019est pourquoi il est d\u2019une actualit\u00e9 br\u00fblante : les dictatures, qu\u2019on croyait na\u00efvement d\u2019un autre temps, fleurissent ou se renforcent de par le monde. Et nos belles d\u00e9mocraties s\u2019empressent de les imiter lorsque, \u00e0 la faveur d\u2019une certaine pand\u00e9mie, elles instaurent une forme in\u00e9dite de contr\u00f4le social, avec l\u2019assentiment du \u00ab bon peuple \u00bb.
